    Swinton Transportation is committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and legally compliant experience for all passengers. To comply with the regulations of the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), the following alcohol policy applies to all transportation services provided in our vehicles.

    1. Alcohol Consumption by Passengers

    • Alcohol is permitted only for passengers aged 21 and over in accordance with Arizona state law.

    • Open container laws in Arizona allow passengers to consume alcohol in commercially operated vehicles, provided that the driver compartment is fully separated and the driver does not consume alcohol.

    • Swinton Transportation allows the responsible consumption of alcohol only in vehicles equipped and permitted for such use (e.g., vans with separated driver compartments).

    2. Passenger Conduct

    • Excessive intoxication, disorderly conduct, aggression, or behavior that endangers the driver, passengers, vehicle, or public may result in immediate termination of the ride without refund.

    • No illegal substances may be brought into or consumed in any vehicle at any time.

    • Swinton Transportation reserves the right to deny service to any passenger or group who appears to be in violation of state or federal alcohol laws.

    3. Driver Policy

    • Swinton Transportation has a zero-tolerance policy regarding alcohol and drug use by drivers.

    • All drivers are subject to random drug and alcohol testing as regulated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

    • Drivers are prohibited from consuming alcohol within 8 hours before going on duty, per USDOT guidelines (49 CFR § 382.207).

    4. Responsibility & Liability

    • The customer assumes full responsibility for the conduct of all passengers, including compliance with alcohol laws and regulations.

    • Any cleaning, repair, or damage to the vehicle as a result of alcohol-related behavior will incur additional fees, billed directly to the customer.

    • Swinton Transportation is not responsible for any legal action taken against passengers who violate public intoxication or open container laws when entering or exiting the vehicle.

    5. Event-Specific Policies

    • For events like bachelorette/bachelor parties, concerts, sporting events, and golf outings, alcohol may be brought on board if pre-approved by Swinton Transportation at the time of booking.

    • Glass containers are not permitted; please use plastic or cans for all beverages.

  • Swinton Transportation Cancellation Policy

    At Swinton Transportation, we understand that plans can change. While we strive to offer flexibility, our cancellation policy reflects the commitments we make to reserve vehicles and schedule drivers specifically for your group.

    Cancellations and Refunds

    Deposit Policy:

    • All bookings require a 25% non-refundable deposit at the time of reservation.

    • This deposit secures your vehicle, driver, and service date — and is not refundable under any circumstances.

    • In select cases, deposits may be applied toward a future reservation if the cancellation is made with sufficient notice (see Rescheduling section below).

    Full Cancellation Policy:

    • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the scheduled service date: The 75% balance (if already paid) will be refunded. The 25% deposit remains non-refundable.

    • Cancellations made 7–14 days before the scheduled service date: 50% of the total trip cost will be refunded (if already paid), excluding the 25% deposit.

    • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the scheduled service date: No refunds will be issued. Full payment is due and considered non-refundable.

    • No-Shows or Last-Minute Cancellations (less than 24 hours): No refunds or credits will be issued.

    Rescheduling

    We understand that life happens. If your plans change, we will make every reasonable effort to reschedule your reservation — subject to vehicle and driver availability — if the request is made at least 7 days in advance of the original service date.

    • Rescheduling requests made 7+ days prior to the trip may allow your non-refundable deposit to be applied toward a future booking within 90 days.

    • Reschedule requests made within 7 days of the service date may result in additional fees or forfeiture of deposit, depending on availability and operational costs.

    Weather or Unforeseen Circumstances

    In the event of severe weather, emergencies, or situations beyond Swinton Transportation’s control (e.g., road closures, natural disasters), we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule services. In these cases, we will work with you to offer credit toward a future service.
